Born in Tours in 1971, Arnaud Bauville lives and works in the west south of France near Toulouse.
After art studies, he became free-lance illustrator and graphic designer. 20's and 30's period lover since his youth, jazz doublebass player and antiquities collector, the artist is totaly in osmosis with his work. His life and artistic production are connected. Inspired with Dada period, Cubism Constructivism movement and Pop Art, each unique painting is made with pieces of original 20's/50's magazines found in flea markets all around the world. Size of typography, grey of the screen, patina of printed illustrations, yellowish sun discolored papers are perfect nobles materials for such patchworks. Psychology and humanity reborn from the pieces of paper, words and sentences. Take time to "read" these faces where poetry and humor guides the artist to give life of his portraits.
